The P is for Pascal, current owner of Brooks Wines and the son of our founding winemaker, Portland native, Jimi Brooks. The Riesling for the 2015 Sweet P was sourced solely from our estate vineyard, planted in the mid 1970’s. Our Estate Riesling is the last fruit to come onto the winery deck every year. The grapes can withstand the late fall rains and cooling temperatures in our site and the spread of noble rot in this particular lot was welcome, as a partial shriveling of the fruit intensifies the sugars. As fermentation of this small lot started to slow, Chris opted to bottle it separately rather than blend it in with the rest of the juice.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Delicate aromas of charlyn melon, white peach, tangerine, crisp cotton sheets drying on a line in the sun, slight gingery spice, honeysuckle and white flower. Off dry and bursting with pretty, ripe, unctuous fruit and an unbelieveably long beautiful finish. Love the fruit flavors and floral notes, apricot, melon, white peach, tropical fruits like mango, passion fruit, guava and papaya. Such a delicious wine. Try having just one glass. Impossible. So easy to drink the whole bottle over dinner. This is a must have with Szechuan chicken, Camarones Diablo, green curry vegetables, or any spicy preparations. - Chris Blanchard, MS
